Coralvac RZ Series Adjuvants Show Strong Efficacy in Infectious Bronchitis Vaccine

Adjuvants have long been crucial for enhancing vaccine efficacy, but in veterinary applications, their use has been limited due to insufficient efficacy or side effects. To address these challenges, Coral Biotechnology developed two novel Water-in-Oil (W/O) type emulsion adjuvants, Coralvac RZ 528 and Coralvac RZ 506, and tested them in an inactivated infectious bronchitis (IBV) H120 vaccine in a mouse model.

Formulations were prepared by combining the IBV antigen with the W/O emulsions and administered as a single intramuscular dose. The mice were then monitored for 21 days.

Results:

• Groups receiving Coralvac RZ 528 and Coralvac RZ 506 showed significantly higher anti-IB antibody titers (IgG, IgG1).
• CD3+ CD8+ T cell responses, IFN-γ cytokine production, and splenocyte proliferation were all considerably stronger compared to the control group.

Conclusion:

The findings demonstrate that Coralvac RZ series adjuvants significantly enhance both humoral and cellular immune responses, supporting their potential use as effective adjuvants in IBV vaccines.
