Coral Adjuvants Demonstrated Safety in Mice Models

(Single and repeat-dose toxicity and local tolerance assessment of newly developed oil emulsion adjuvant formulations for veterinary purposes)

A recent study evaluated the safety and toxicity profile of newly developed Water-in-Oil (W/O) and Water-in-Oil-in-Water (W/O/W) emulsion adjuvants produced by Coral Biotechnology Industry and Trade Inc.

Tested adjuvants included: Coralvac RZ 528, Coralvac RZ 506, Coralvac AT 318, Coralvac AT 318 SIS, and Coralvac 252.

Findings:

• In both single- and repeated-dose toxicity studies, no adverse effects such as death, abnormal behavior, or weight loss were observed in experimental groups.
• Clinical chemistry results confirmed normal function of all major organs.
• Histopathological investigation revealed inflammation and edema on day 7, which significantly decreased by day 14.

Conclusion:

The study highlights the safety and tolerability of Coralvac adjuvants, supporting their potential use in the future development of veterinary inactivated vaccines.
