Water in Oil (W/O)

Highly refined mineral oils have been used to produce water-in-oil (W/O) type emulsions. It provides high injectability with its low viscosity. W/O emulsions, composed of highly refined pharmaceutical light mineral oils that stimulate both humoral and cellular immune response, are prepared with a high-speed homogenizer. The water phases are added to the oil phase in proportions ranging from 30 to 50 percent.
